Admissions
The Office of Enrollment and Student Success is dedicated to help you achieve your
personal, academic, and career goals at Johnston Community College. JCC has an "open
door" admission policy that allows anyone who is at least 18 years of age or has obtained
a high school diploma or equivalent to be admitted to the College. Admission to the
college, however, does not ensure acceptance into any specific program.
The links on the left navigation bar access important information you will use throughout the admission process. Our staff is eager to help you navigate the admissions process and we encourage you to contact us through email, phone, or in person if you have questions.

Regulations for Out-of-State Distance Learning Applicants
Due to changes in state regulations for distance learning, Johnston Community College is only able to accept applications for admission to distance learning courses and programs from students residing in states in which JCC has authorization. Individuals interested in applying to online programs or courses who do not reside in an authorized state, should not submit an application for admission to Johnston Community College until authorization is verified.
Visit the college's State Authorization for Distance Education page to determine if we are authorized in your state as well as our student complaint resolution procedures for out-of-state students.
