Academic Services
Welcome to the Academic Enrichment Services department. Our commitment is to provide a positive and supporting learning environment that offers high quality instruction and student focused services and programming. Our primary goal is to develop and strengthen students’ academic aptitude in reading, math and English and provide them with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue and achieve their educational goals.
The Academic Enrichment Services Department is comprised of developmental studies, the Academic Skills Center and the tutoring and writing labs. The department also offers academic preparation and enrichment programs and a monthly newsletter, Stepping Stones.
Johnston Community College offers a broad range of initiatives promoting and ensuring student success, and enhancing the college experience. Through testing services, tutoring programs, disability services, and writing and reading initiatives, academic services staff work to foster enrichment at JCC.
