Apply to JCC
- Application: Submit an official JCC application by the priority deadline date* by applying online through cfnc.org. If you are planning to apply for financial aid, please do so as soon as possible – you do not have to be admitted as a student to start this process.
- Transcripts: Have all official transcripts (both high school and college) mailed to the JCC Admissions Office by the priority deadline date (PO Box 2350, Smithfield, NC 27577). Please note that submission of transcripts can sometimes take a few weeks – plan ahead to ensure that you can finish the application process well in advance of academic advising!
- Placement Test: Applicants are notified when and where to report for placement testing services**.
- Counselor Interview: Applicants are notified when to report for a counselor interview**. During this interview, your counselor will assign your academic advisor.
*Admission to a JCC program of study cannot be guaranteed if application and transcripts are not received by the priority deadline date. While we will make every effort to process applications received after this date, application volume, processing time, and testing/interview requirements will most likely result in admission as a special student until the process can be completed for the next semester.
**If you need to reschedule either your testing date or your counselor interview, please contact Student Services at 209-2128 as soon as possible.
After you complete this process, you are ready to visit your Academic Advisor. All JCC students are required to meet with their academic advisors before registration each semester. Please check the academic calendar for advising and registration dates.
