Infant / Toddler Care Certificate (C55290)

Special notes/considerations about the NC Community College System Infant/Toddler Care Certificate (C55290):

1. Upon completion of the EDU 119 course within the certificate shown above, students are eligible to apply for the North Carolina Early Childhood Credential (NCECC) through the North Carolina Division of Child Development. Student must earn a C or better in EDU 119 in order to be eligible. Applications are available through the NC Division of Child Development. See your advisor for more details.

2. Upon completion of the certificate shown above, in addition to JCC awarding the NC Community College System Infant/Toddler Care Certificate, students are also eligible to apply for the National Child Development Associate (Infant/Toddler CDA) provided through the Council for Professional Recognition in Washington, DC in collaboration with Child Care Services Association, the NC Community College System and the Head Start State Collaboration Office (NC Community College CDA Track Model). Students must earn a C or better in all courses and a B or better in EDU 184 in order to be eligible. Additional requirements for the CDA must also be met.
