Innovation Grant Guidelines
The Johnston Community College Foundation is excited to announce $8000 in innovation funding available to faculty and staff of JCC.
The Johnston Community College Foundation is committed to enhancing the quality of services and programs for students, faculty, and staff. The Foundation works to aid, strengthen, and further the work and service of Johnston Community College. It assists the College in securing financial support for curriculum enhancement, scholarships, faculty and staff grants, and educational programming.
Do you have a special assignment or project you want to incorporate into your class? Do you have an idea for a professional development opportunity? Do you have an innovative project that requires funding? The Johnston Community College Foundation is now accepting innovation grant applications. Innovation grants are designed to fund projects that benefit your students, program, curriculum, classroom, or the college in general. Collaboration among personnel and departments is strongly encouraged. Innovation grants of up to $2,000 are available for projects on a one-time-only basis, based on availability of funding and assessed score of the project. Projects may be submitted by an individual staff or faculty member or by small groups.
Grant applications are reviewed and considered by the Nominating, Scholarship and Board Development committee of the JCC Foundation. Final decisions are subject to the approval of the Executive Committee of the JCC Foundation Board of Directors. All awards will be disbursed after July 1, 2013. The grant period ends May 30, 2014.
The Foundation will reimburse individuals for grant related expenditures for which original receipts are provided as detailed in the budget. Items purchased with Foundation grant funds are the property of Johnston Community College, not the department or the individual.
