Hybrid Courses
What is a hybrid course?
Hybrid courses combine a variety of different teaching methods. For instance, an instructor may be teaching a telecourse but decides to use an Internet component to supplement his or her class. More recently the North Carolina Community College System has defined "hybrid" instruction as any kind of instruction which mixes some face-to-face instruction and some online instruction in the same course. This can include everything from posting a few documents on the web to courses which only meet face-to-face two or three times. Several community colleges in the system are beginning to offer courses that blend face-to-face instruction with online instruction.
Instructors will use Blackboard for the online instruction. You will be provided a JCC e-mail account for your class use. These will be available the first day of class.
