JCC Exemplary Course Showcase
Is Your Course Exemplary?
The QIT (Quality Improvement Team) at JCC would like to celebrate and reward instructors
who demonstrate engaging, effective course design with our Exemplary Course Showcase.
Our goal is to identify, recognize, and share the outstanding course designs that
we offer at JCC.
Courses will be evaluated for best practices in four major areas: Course Overview & Introduction, Course Design & Learner Support, Learner Interaction & Engagement, and Assessment & Feedback. Courses will be submitted via screencast video and will be reviewed by members of the QIT for Online Course Quality, JOLT and the Distance Learning Committee using a numeric point value system.
All entries will be assessed, and the instructor with the best exemplary example will be awarded a prize and certificate. Faculty from each Instructional Department have the opportunity to win a prize.* Exemplary Course Awards will be announced twice per year in December and May.
Deadline for course submissions for 2019SP is April 1, 2019 at 5pm. Exemplary Course(s) will be announced May 6, 2019.
