May 6, 1996: Classes begin at Cleveland Campus.
August 1997: JCC moves from quarter to semester system.
August 1998: Learning Center Building at Howell Woods Environmental Learning Center officially opens.
August 1998: JCC Preschool opens.
August 1998: John L. Tart, JCC's first president, retires.
May 3, 1999: Johnston County JobLink Center opens on JCC campus.
August 1999: College celebrates 30th anniversary.
August 20, 1999: Presidential Inauguration Ceremony for Donald L. Reichard.
2002: Stephanie Capps awarded the NCCCS Excellence in Teaching Award.
January 5, 2003: Dedication of the Roger A. Smith, Jr. Building.
April 18, 2004: Dedication of William R. Britt Building.
2006: JCC forms a "sister college" relationship with Ranong Community College in Thailand.
October 31, 2006: NC Truck Driver Training Program inducted into the NC Transportation Hall of Fame.
March 1, 2007: Dedication of Elsee Building.
January 17, 2008: Board of Trustees approved the Johnston County Early College Academy.
July 10, 2008: Dedication of the Public Safety Services Building.
March 12, 2009: Don W. Stephenson first JCC employee to be awarded Emeritus Status.
September 11, 2009: Presidential Inauguration Ceremony for David N. Johnson.
