CMS February 2013 'Where Stars Get Their Start' Anniversary Show
CMS ‘Where Stars Get Their Start’ is an opportunity for aspiring artists to perform in a state-of-the-art facility with a professional band and back-up singers in a 2 day- multiple show stint. Shows are produced 5 times a year. Auditions are held yearly and attract talented performers from North Carolina and surrounding states. Guest performers sing together in multiple group numbers and each performs a solo.
The themes for each show allow for the performance of an assortment of artists and styles. Whether your tastes lean towards the Southern sound of Hank Williams, the upbeat crossover artist Taylor Swift, the soulful sound of Adele, or James Durbin’s rockin’ beat you're sure to hear one of your favorites on CMS ‘Where Stars Get Their Start’.
Clay Aiken, Scotty McCreery, Dakota Hood, and Adam Barbour have all performed on the CMS stage. Who will be the next guest performer to make national headlines? You can say, ‘I saw them when…’

Musical accompaniment is provided by the always wonderful The Showcase Band, which features Melanie Horton. Other band members include Ken Eubanks, Grover Hood, Hugh Jackson, and Brent Shattuck.
