Transition Programs

LEAP

The LEAP (Lessons Enhanced Academic Placement) Program is designed to give students a refresher on important concepts and skills that help them transition into and, possibly, out of developmental courses.  This program's primary goal is to help students focus on, strengthen and improve upon their English, reading or math skills.  These courses are offered in a structured and supportive environment designed to increase the students' aptitude in the subject matter and prepare students for their college level courses.

These courses are free to registered participants and are offered in the fall, spring and summer semesters. These courses do not count towards curriculum program credits, nor Pell Grant Funding.

Interested students must attend an Orientation and Information session before registering for this program.

The program gives students the opportunity to place prepare for or place out of lower level remedial courses and moves students toward their degree faster, saving both time and money!

This program provides specialized instruction, assistance and support from class instructors.  All participants who successfully complete and meet all program requirements will be allowed to retake their placement test.

These courses are free to registered participants and are offered in the fall, spring and summer semesters. These courses do not count towards curriculum program credits, nor Pell Grant Funding.

Interested students must attend an Orientation and Information session before registering for this program.

The Placement Test for NEW students is offered in the Open Lab Assessment Center. The hours and days of the week are listed below.
