The STAR Program
The STAR (Successful Transition and Academic Readiness) Program is an academic initiative designed to strengthen students’ skills and performance in remedial English, reading, and math. The program gives students the opportunity to place out of lower level remedial courses and moves students toward their degree faster, saving both time and money!
This free program provides specialized instruction through Continuing Education, skill building workshops, academic advising, and a personalized support and assistance program. All participants who complete the program will be allowed to retake their placement test. The course, materials, and services are available to eligible students at no charge.
