State Funding Sources


To apply for any of these federal funding sources, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

N.C. Community College Grant

The North Carolina Community College Grant is a program established by the North Carolina General Assembly to help meet the educational costs of attending a community college.  To be considered for this grant, a student must be a North Carolina resident and be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours per semester).  The Expected Family Contribution (EFC) will determine eligibility and the amount to be received. Students with a bachelor’s degree are ineligible. Grant is not available for summer sessions.

The North Carolina Education Lottery Scholarship is a program established by the North Carolina General Assembly to help meet the educational costs of N.C. residents. To be considered for this grant, a student must be a North Carolina resident and be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours per semester). Students with a bachelor’s degree are ineligible.
