What is the CRC? (Career Readiness Certification)

The Career Readiness Certification is a portable credential that promotes career development and skill attainment for the individual, and confirms to employers that an individual possesses basic workplace skills in reading, applied math, and locating information - essential skills required by the vast majority of jobs today.

Career Readiness Certificate levels and employability:

• Bronze - Core employability skills for approximately 30% of all jobs.
• Silver - Core employability skills for approximately 65% of all jobs.
• Gold - Core employability skills approximately 90% of all jobs.

Getting these skills is very simple. Once you have the skills, you can get your Career Readiness Certificate, which employers nationwide recognize as proof of your skills.

The CRC Certificate Confirms To Employers That You Possess Basic Workplace Skills In:

• Applied Mathematics
• Locating Information

WorkKeys assessments cost $10 each and are administered at the Workforce Development Center in Clayton.

Course Schedule

WorkKeys®-CRC Test Prep (22 Hrs)

This class is designed to prepare students to take the WorkKeys® assessments. Each area of concentration will cover basic subject mat­ter needed to upgrade skill level and prepare the student to take the WorkKeys® exam. Exam will be given on the last day of class for a fee of $30.
*Class fee may be waived if financial eligibility requirements are met (unemployed, underemployed, received notice of a layoff).
