Call for Artists - Exhibition for 2023-2024
The Frank Creech Art Gallery seeks artists for the 2023-2024 exhibit season, which begins in September at the Frank Creech Art Gallery on the Johnston Community College campus in Smithfield.
Interested artists or artists-groups are invited to apply for a show by sending in a resume, portfolio, and 2-3 images of their works. The images must be representative of the type of work the artist plans on exhibiting.
- Each image should show a single piece of art with minimal background.
- The images should be submitted in jpg format.
- All images should be taken with a high-quality camera with the longest side of about 2000 pixels.
- All images should be delivered by email or from a specified website if they meet the size limit.

All items (resume, portfolio of images, application must reach the committee no later than 5pm, June 16, 2023).
Exhibits usually consist of total of 40-50 pieces. For shows of multiple artists the
amount would be less, i.e., 2 artists 20-25 pieces each, 3 artists 12-15 each.
The shows at the Gallery will only be opened on a Sundays from 1-5 PM with a Johnston
Community College representative available for sales.
There is a 35% commission on all sales paid to the Johnston Community College. Johnston
County Arts Council will provide refreshments for opening reception.
