Intro to Gunsmithing ~ 128 hous
Students must have a valid concealed carry permit. No prerequisite is required for this class. This course introduces students to hand tools, blueprints, and basic machines. Emphasis is placed on the completion of simple gauges and tools used in the Gunsmithing trade. Upon completion, students should be able to produce from blueprints, tools and fixtures for use in Gunsmithing, using hand tools and basic machine set-ups.

Gunsmith: Firearm Refinishing ~ 128 hours
Students must possess a valid concealed carry permit. No prerequisite for this course.
This course introduces the student to refinishing operations as they relate to the
gunsmithing industry. This class focuses on the aesthetics of metals, woods and synthetics
of firearms. Upon completion, the student should be able to demonstrate competencies
in current gunsmith techniques of synthetic bedding of stocks, polishing and bluing
of metals, heat treatment of various metals, and follow safe practices in these manufacturing
processes.

Basic Gunsmith Maintenance ~ 48 hours
Students must possess a valid concealed carry permit. No prerequisite is required for this class. This course is designed for the entry level firearms student. This class consists of basic firearm safety, firearm anatomy, basic and functional inspection of parts, disassembly and assembly of weapons, and the concepts of cleaning such weapons.

Gunsmith: Toolmaking ~ 128 Hours
Students must be able to obtain a pistol purchase permit from the local Sheriff’s
office or possess a valid state issued concealed carry permit.
This course introduces the student to machining operations as they relate to the gunsmithing
industry. Topics include machine shop safety, measuring tools, blueprint reading,
lathes, saws, milling machines, bench grinders, and layout instruments. Upon completion
the student will manufacture tools necessary for the gunsmithing trade, and will perform
basic operations of measuring, layout, drilling, sawing, turning, and milling as well
as follow safe practices in these manufacturing processes. Additional cost for books and other fees.

Gunsmith: Fundamentals ~ 128 Hours
Gunsmith Toolmaking is the prerequisite for this class. Students must be able to obtain a pistol purchase permit from the
local sheriff’s office or possess a valid state issued concealed carry permit.
This course introduces current materials and gunsmithing techniques as they relate
to gun manufacturing. Emphasis is place on material characteristic, applications,
and tooling requirements pertaining to modern CNC “Computer Numerical Controlled”
machinery. Upon completion student should be able to demonstrate competencies in current
gunsmith techniques such as synthetic bedding of stocks, polishing and blue various
metals, heat treating of various metals as well as manufacturing a firearm to SAMMI
“Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute” standard. Additional cost for books and other fees.

Gunsmith: Welding & Metallurgy ~ 102 Hours
This course is designed to prepare gunsmiths to operate welding and heat treat equipment for firearm repairs. Students will practice different types of welding and soldering processes as well as differences in types of materials. Additional cost for books and other fees.
