Pre-Hospital Anatomy & Physiology (Co-requisite for Paramedic Initial Course)
This course is highly recommended for people considering taking the Certificate Paramedic course.
This course is a 96-hour online course. Online course with weekly assignments and test. Course ends May 9, 2021.

Requirements: Co-requisite course for the CE Paramedic Program. For current and potential paramedic students interested in Johnston Community College's CE Paramedic Program.
Textbook: See attached flyer. Books are available through JCC Bookstore.
Registration Fee: Registration is $180. Students can pre-register by contacting the Registration Office at 919-209-2522. For registration, you can also call Jeremy Beal.
Tuition Waiver: Fire, Rescue and EMS may qualify for tuition waiver ($180.00). To receive tuition waiver:
- Must be on the roster of an agency listed in NC OEMS data base as a 911 response agency
- List the agency on your registration.
Private owned agencies and non-emergency transport services do not qualify for tuition waiver.

National Registry Prep/Paramedic Refresher Course
EMS Education offers continuing education courses that are consistent with National
Registry requirements for both National Registry EMT, EMT-I and Paramedic recertification
and exam preparation.
This course is a 60-hour NC approved paramedic refresher course that is offered one
weekend a month (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) for three (3) months. Classes will meet
for a total of 20 hours per weekend (session). Students can attend the entire weekend
or sit to obtain hours in certain topics. National Registry Prep and Test is usually
held in December after the course is completed. This course is usually scheduled once

Educational Methodology
This course meets the established guide-lines for DOI Fire Instructor and NCOEMS Level I and II Instructor. Educational Methodology is offered annually or on an as needed bases.

Emergency Vehicle Driving
This course is a 20-hour course that includes objectives required by NCOSFM to receive Emergency Vehicle Driving (EVD) certification. This course also covers all EVD objectives required by NCOEMS and Johnston County EMS System plan. Upon completion of the course, students will be eligible to take NCOSFM EVD certification test
